Makes Me Happy Pics...

Catching up, catching up.  :)

Ah, Heavenly Nuts & a Mountain Dew at Miller Park.

Such a pretty sight, I cannot believe that after this season
it will no longer be "Miller Park".  :(

Some pictures of my maternal grandparents.
I love them both so much!

My maternal grandmother.
I was just so happy that I found someone that I look like
on my mom's side of the family.

A lovely scented candle from "The Hippy Store" - Lily of the Valley.

Thankful Thursday...

Today I am thankful...for remote start on my Captiva.  There is nothing worse than getting into a cold, snow covered car here in February.

Today I am thankful...that due to the snow falling, I may be able to sit in my room & work on my Fantastic Beasts Lego set...yes, I am a thirty-eight year old who bought herself a Lego set.  Ha, ha!

Today I am thankful...that I am getting into full party planning for my all-girls birthday celebration coming up in a couple of weeks.

Today I am thankful...that our trip to Vegas is only three weeks away!  Cannot wait!

Today I am thankful...that I got Regan's specialist appointment rescheduled from tomorrow morning to next Friday morning so I do not have to drive an hour on the snow filled roads.

What are some things that
YOU are thankful for?

Time For a Lil Review…

IMDB's Summary:  "security guard David Dunn uses his supernatural abilities to track Kevin Wendell Crumb, a disturbed man who has twenty-four personalities."

My Summary:  "the ultimate showdown between mastermind, villain & hero.

My Favorite Character:  hands down - anybody played by James McAvoy.  Nothing against SLJ or Bruce but James is just amazing in Split & Glass.  The way he plays all these characters, I just didn't know he had it in him, to be honest.  My favorites are Dennis & Hedwig (etc.!).

My Likes:  ah, everything...can I say that?  Ha!  I love how M. Night tied all these movies together & got all the same actors back.  I am still trying to figure out if this will be it in this universe or if there is more to come.  Eeek!  :)

My Dislikes:  the end...yea, not gonna give anything away cuz that's not the way I roll but the end.

What I Learned:  nothing is as it seems & there are connections all around us.

Who I Would Recommend This To:  ah, anyone that has seen Unbreakable & Split, that's a given.  But you really need to see all three.  I saw Split without seeing Unbreakable but nobody knew there was a connection so before watching Glass, I went back to watch Unbreakable & then Split again.  So good.

My Rating:  8/10

Wing It Wednesday...

For today's Wing It Wednesday, I decided to do a Day in the Life post.  I love these, they are SO much fun.  This was my day LAST Wednesday.  :)

I woke up like this.  Ha!

Gettin' ready to get into the bulk of that pile.

Just a nerd in her Hufflepuff scarf drinking coffee from a Winnie the Pooh mug.

A lil peace in a crazy world.

Late morning snack.  Yum.

Awww, poor BDBRWPK all covered in snow - she hates snow.

Time For a Lil Review…

Goodreads Summary:  "Oliver Twist is one of the most well-known stories ever told, about a young orphan who has to survive the mean streets of London before ultimately being rescued by a kindly benefactor.

But it is his friend, the Artful Dodger, who has the far more intriguing tale, filled with more adventure and excitement than anything boring Oliver could possibly get up to. Throw in some vampires and a plot to overthrow the British monarchy, and what you have is the thrilling account that Charles Dickens was too scared to share with the world."

My Summary:  "Vampires with some connection to the old tale of Oliver Twist."

My Favorite Character:  I'm gonna say Drina.  I won't give too much away cuz there is a lil surprise with her but she was a tough chick & upfront, I liked her.

My Likes:  how the author thought of all this crazy stuff that could have been connected to Oliver Twist.  Now, I've never read Oliver Twist so I would like someone to read both & then let me know what your thoughts are.

My Dislikes:  how slowly it started out.  It took a bit for me to get into it & I was starting to worry that I made a mistake with reading it but it got good & held my interest to the end.

What I Learned:  ah, that Disney's Oliver & Company was their version of Oliver Twist.  I had no frickin' idea about that.  Ha!  Oliver & Company was the first movie I saw in the theater.  :)

Who I Would Recommend This To:  anyone that has read Oliver Twist & people that like a good vampire story...but remember to give it a chance.

Rating:  3/5 Stars

Makes Me Happy Pics...

I am WAY behind on posting these so we are going a few months back but that should keep me going for bit.  :)

This was back when it was "Fair Season" here in Wisconsin &
I got to enjoy two of my favorite things - cheese curds & Mountain Dew.

While at the same fair, I got to see Skillet for third time.
They are really awesome - I love them!

I've become more & more of a nerd & jumped into this "graphic novel".
Being Stephen King, how could I NOT like it.
It was beautifully illustrated & excited to read more.  :)

A wine outing with the hubby.
We like to hit a few wineries every now & then & this was
some in the Wisconsin Dells area.

One of my favorite places ever - Father Fats for dinner & a drink.  Yum.
